This bicycle tour takes you from Louis II’s castle to the most famous hunters’ meet of the Renaissance; from the time when the Vikings were pillaging villages and sailing up the Loire, to that of grand palatial festivities. Because the Loire flooded dangerously in the past, villages such as St-Claude and Montlivault moved inland and on higher ground, but you can still see the traces of old big floods. An interesting area to imagine how was life in the past...
