The route
Leaving the Marais-Vernier, the Seine à Vélo cycle route follows minor roads with only light traffic up to Berville-sur-Mer, where a greenway leads you beside the Seine up to the mighty bridge, the Pont de Normandie.
Note the following significant slopes:
- Direction Paris – the sea: in the Marais-Vernier (2km at 5%) and Foulbec (1km at 8%, including one stretch <10%),
- Direction the sea - Paris: Saint Samson de la Roque (2km at 5%) and Conteville (0.8km at 6%).
Take care at the crossroads at Foulbec.
Set to open by 2024, a new greenway will link the Marais-Vernier to Berville-sur-Mer via a flat link, making the most of the existing greenway alongside the Seine, and crossing the Risle Estuary.
