Wonderful trail. Was not expecting such a good cycle path. Gradual slope, easy to navigate, scenic, and no traffic. Limited services along the trail, so bring food and water.

Terrible, dangerous section from Arles to Aigues Mortes Voie Verte

Le Grau-du-Roi / Beaucaire Tarascon

There is about 30km near Bellegarde to where the Aigues Mortes voie verte starts which is very dangerous. The road has a 70km speed limit, most vehicles go faster than this. The road is very narrow and there are a lot of cars, vans, trucks and campervans.

The France Velo route between Vernaison and Givors isn't really suitable for touring bikes, steep gravel tracks, very isolated, badly signposted, trees down across the path, I felt unsafe as a solo cyclist.

Saint-Malo à Arzal

We cycled this route in May 2023. The weather was perfect and the route was in great condition. We followed EV4 from St Malo to Plouer sur Rance then headed south on this route.
