Cycle route
The crossing of the town of Château-Gontier is very well laid out. There’s an interconnection here with the greenway leading to Bourg Philippe.
There’s a shortish provisional stretch of 4km that takes you along small county roads, with some slopes around La Roche Lock at Chambellay and at Montreuil-sur-Maine. Just before the last village, head back down to the towpath.
To reach the town of Le Lion-d’Angers, just before the footbridge at the confluence of the Mayenne and Oudon Rivers, follow the Oudon towpath to the right; alternatively, you can head straight on towards Grez-Neuville.
Follow the signs for the Chemin de halage de la Mayenne up to Le Lion-d’Angers.
