Just a stone’s throw from Moulin Blanc beach, the GR®34 walking route and Océanopolis, the Brest Youth Hostel invites you to enjoy a unique experience in an exceptional setting. Open all year round, it welcomes both individual guests and groups staying for holidays and seminars in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

Nestled in the heart of a vast, tree-lined park by the sea, right next to Moulin Blanc Marina and the Brest National Botanical Conservatory, the hostel is an ideal base for exploring Brest Harbour, the Iroise Coast and the region’s many must-see attractions.

Built in 1983, the hostel is an iconic work by the architect Roland Schweitzer, a leading figure in timber architecture in France. Having received numerous awards for its architectural merits, the building was granted an exceptional honour in 2018: it was listed as a Historic Monument, along with its original furnishings and grounds. The Brest Youth Hostel has thus become the first youth hostel in France to receive this heritage recognition.

With a capacity of 136 beds and the same number of dining places, the hostel caters for all types of stay. You’ll find comfortable accommodation and facilities tailored to your needs. Business travellers and groups have access to four meeting rooms that can accommodate up to 100 people.

To make your stay even more enjoyable, a range of facilities are available: a secure cycle shed, a laundry room, a TV lounge, a lift for easy access for people with reduced mobility, free Wi-Fi, as well as several leisure areas featuring table tennis, billiards, table football and traditional Breton games. Throughout the year, the hostel also organises activities and events that contribute to its friendly and lively atmosphere.
