Protected as a Natura 2000 site for its exceptional plant and animal life (fish, mammals, birds, amphibians, etc.), it serves as a migratory, breeding, and nesting route for numerous species, some of which are very rare. An enchanting and ultra-relaxing setting, nestled in the gentle rolling countryside of the Brionnais region (a protected ZNIEFF area due to its rich flora and fauna), in a peaceful, unspoiled haven, combining bucolic hedgerows dotted with ponds and rivers, and beautiful wild forests.
