La Queue de l'île MONTJEAN-SUR-LOIRE 49290 Mauges-sur-Loire
Take advantage of this magical spot on the banks of the Loire between Angers and Nantes to get away from it all and relax after a stage of the Loire à Vélo. At the end of this island (the largest in the Loire), under the "tortuous" ash trees, looking out over the river, the Bellanger family offer you a warm welcome in their colourful Mongolian yurts, which provide a touch of unusual accommodation.

Véronique, Jean-Jacques and their children Louise and Alexandre also run a family-run guinguette with the Ecotable® label, based on local, organic and sustainable produce. A tree-lined, peaceful place where you can take your time and enjoy yourself. Don't hesitate to book in advance...

And if there were 4 things you shouldn't miss, they'd advise you :
- Get on your bikes and pedal from the end of the island on the La Loire à Vélo itinerary, doing the loop between Chalonnes-sur-Loire and Montjean-sur-Loire (1h30).
- Walk 300m to the old ferry pier at sunset and open your eyes wide.
- Leave home and take a trip on the water in a canoe on the Grand Bras (of the Loire) or by boat.

The opening dates of the yurts may differ from those announced due to weather conditions and the level of the Loire.
