Created in April 2016 on the initiative of French contemporary art collector Philippe Méaille, the Château de Montsoreau-Musée d'art contemporain is a radical, committed, lively place, located two hours from Paris, in the Unesco World Heritage Loire Valley.

Housed in a château on the banks of the Loire, the museum's architecture, collection and exhibition spaces are outstanding, making it one of the leading international institutions dedicated to contemporary art. Its permanent collection, presented on three levels (2,500m2 of exhibition space) is the world's largest collection of works by Art & Language, the artists' collective behind Conceptual Art.

The programme of the Château de Montsoreau-Musée d'art contemporain reflects the creative wealth of today's artists. It is organised around temporary exhibitions, events, meetings, concerts and performances.
