The memorial was built around article 29 of the Cahier des Doléances de Champagney, in which the inhabitants of this modest commune called for the abolition of black slavery in 1789. This house is also a place of reflection on slavery, racism and human rights...
Opening times :
From 2 May to 30 September, Tuesday to Friday, 10am to 12pm and 1.30pm to 5.30pm; Saturdays and Sundays, 2pm to 6pm;
From 1 October to 30 April, Tuesday to Saturday, 1.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. Certain bank holidays are closed. Groups welcome by appointment only.
