Since 1943, the museum has been housed in the 18th-century Hôtel Raphélis de Soissans, next door to the Musée Calvet. With over 1.2 million specimens, it is one of the most important natural history museums in the region. It regularly presents exhibitions, and also houses a large study library and reserves accessible only to researchers.

Ideal for families: from the naturalized tiger on display at the entrance to the tyrannosaur jaw in one of the rooms devoted to prehistoric remains, from the wolf's head found at the end of the 19th century in the foothills of the Ventoux to the beaver from Barthelasse Island in the showcase: a visit to Museum Requien is a source of enrichment for everyone, from the very old to the very young.

Throughout the year, the museum offers numerous events for families and young visitors.
