If you've got an hour and a half to spare and want to find out more about the historical and natural heritage of the Champagne bocage (all in a bucolic setting), then stop off at the Village Musée du Der.

The visit begins with the discovery of half-timbered architecture, in a green and peaceful setting. The Village Musée du Der tells the incredible story of the three villages that disappeared to make way for the construction of Lac du Der (Europe?s largest man-made lake). Several typical buildings were saved from destruction or drowning and rebuilt on the museum site: the Nuisement-aux-Bois church, the Maison du Forgeron (blacksmith's house), the pigeon loft, and more.

Everything has been designed to plunge visitors into the heart of an authentic Der village!
This establishment is Accueil Vélo and offers specific services for cyclists.
