CHÂTEAU LES CÈDRES DE ROBERT

Chemin de Robert 11150 Villesiscle
Chemin de Robert 11150 Villesiscle
Wine estate, marked Pays Cathare: 20 hectares of vines, certified organic since 2021. Nine grape varieties belonging to the Malepère AOP and Pays d'Oc IGP appellations are grown here. The light soils, deep roots, windy and well-exposed terroir produce full-bodied, fruity wines.

Formerly owned by the Dominican abbey near Prouilhe, Castel de Robert became Les Cèdres de Robert in 2013: the reception area is located at the end of a beautiful cedar-lined driveway, directly connected to the Voie Verte greenway that passes through Villesiscle.

A lane lined with hundred-year-old cedars leads to the estate with the Pyrenees mountain range in the background... Delphine, a young, cultured winegrower who is committed to respecting the environment, will tell you all about the history of winegrowing in the Lauragais region. Visitors will be able to touch the soil, a sandstone terroir that is very good for vines and gives the wine its finesse. But, as wine is not an end in itself, she suggests pairing it with local products (meals or dishes) during wine tours.

Sales at the estate and free tastings for groups of less than 10 people; for larger groups, book a tasting workshop.

Open by appointment from November to March.
