18,37 km cycling route from Sourdeval to Mortain
Leaving Sourdeval you enter very pretty country: the area around Mortain is surrounded by woods and here, amidst tranquil, shaded surroundings in a deep, green-wooded gorge, the waters of Cance and Cancon cascade to create waterfalls. Mortain also hosts a memorial to the heroism of the defenders of Hill 314.

Itinerary
The greenway gradually makes its descent towards the Bay – be sure to enjoy the countryside of the distinctive ‘bocage’ hedged farmland before going down. Take care when crossing the RD 911 to the south of Sourdeval (poor visibility on the bend), and again when crossing the RD 977 (though this is better developed, with good visibility).

The ‘Cascades de Mortain’ waterfalls (‘Little’ and ‘Large’) are an ideal location to take a refreshing stroll.
