The Tour de Gironde by bike

The Tour de Gironde by bike is a 480 km cycling route that takes you through the heathlands of Gascony to the vineyards and great castles of the Médoc, passing through the Arcachon Basin, the coastline and beaches of the Atlantic Ocean and the Cordouan lighthouse. The return to Bordeaux will take place along the Gironde estuary. The route includes part of the routes of the Canal des 2 Mers à Vélo and La Vélodyssée as well as the departmental cycle paths. The route is 90% developped and secured, making it an ideal trip for families. The main steps: Bordeaux, Entre-deux-Mers, the Canal de Garonne, the Landes de Gascogne Regional Nature Park, the Bassin d'Arcachon, the Atlantic coast, the Gironde Estuary and the Médoc vineyards before returning to Bordeaux.
