Culinary Normandy

In countryside where Normandy cows dominate the scene, milk products feature large! As well as delicious local butter and cream, the region produces great cheeses, like world-famous Camembert, Livarot and Pont-l'Evêque. These lands are also reputed for meat production, with salt-marsh lamb being highly prized. So too is the local veg and the apple brandy known as Calvados, sometimes served as a 'trou normand', when you down a dram in the middle of a meal!
