Linking France and Belgium, this stage marks the end of your Vélomaritime trip. Leaving Dunkirk, the route takes you through the heart of the Dunes de Flandres, designated a Grand Site de France. Appreciate the palette of colours and atmospheres in this unique natural setting, consisting of big dunes of fine sand.

The route
Leaving from Dunkirk town centre, you can follow the promenade above the sea wall through the resort of Malo-les-Bains to reach Leffrinckoucke.
From Dunkerque to Bray-Dunes and on to the Belgian frontier, the Vélomaritime route takes the form of a greenway.
It allows you to head off to explore the major coastal natural features along here completely safely.
