Starting at Yffiniac, at the bottom of the Bay of Saint-Brieuc, strike south into the green countryside of inland Brittany. The route, along small roads, leads to the village of Allineuc and Bosméléac Reservoir, which used to provide the water for the Rigole d’Hilvern Channel, built to supply water to the Canal de Nantes à Brest.

The route

The route takes you along quiet hilly roads up to the Rigole d’Hiilvern Channel.
At the bottom of the Bay of St-Brieuc, leave Véloroute EV4 / Tour de Manche and follow signs for Les Grèves. Go as far as the entrance to Yffiniac village and branch off for the cemetery 200m to the right. Continue straight on, beside the N 12, before crossing this road via a bridge and continuing in the direction of Le Prest. At the crossroads with the D 1, follow signs for La Fontaine.
Follow the V8 green and white panels up until you join the Rigole d’Hilvern Channel.

Take special care on the D 28 road (after Le Beau Chêne), at the crossroads with the D 25 road and at the crossroads with the D 44 road at Bel-Orient.
