Every summer, between June and September, take the train with your bike along the Loire Valley by bike!
"Train Vélo Loire" : a train for cyclists along the Loire Valley
This train serves several towns on the La Loire à Vélo itinerary, and has specially equipped spaces for bicycles. You can take your bike on board free of charge. From May to September 29, 2024, its services will be reinforced.

Increased capacity for cyclists
In 2024, from May to September inclusive, the Train Loire à Vélo will accommodate more bikes per train:
- From May 1 to June 7 (weekends & public holidays only) and from September 23 to 29: a minimum of 33 self-access bicycle spaces, distributed throughout the train.
- From June 8 to September 22: up to 50 bicycle spaces, including :
- 33 self-access bicycle spaces per train set, distributed throughout the train.
- an accompanied area for 17 bikes, with an agent to help with boarding and disembarking. This area can be identified by the "Train Loire à Vélo" signage visible on the platform, and is particularly suited to passengers with atypical bikes (tandems/trailers). It is accessible free of charge, subject to reservation.
How to board your bike on the trains "Train Vélo Loire"
- You must have your usual ticket.
- Arrive early to allow time to position yourself on the platform.
- You are responsible for your luggage. Your panniers must be detached from your bike during the journey.

This line serves the stations of : Orléans, Blois, Saint Pierre-des-Corps, Tours, Saumur, Angers, Ancenis, Nantes, Saint-Nazaire, La Baule, Pornichet, Le Croisic.

Service dates 2024 :
- All year round: up to 33 bicycle spaces
- Summer period: 33 free spaces and 17 with loading/unloading assistance
- 3 daily return trips Monday to Friday between Orléans and Nantes
- 2 return trips at weekends between Orléans and Le Croisic
