The Moselle-Saône valley by bike is a national cycle route. It stretches from Apach, on the Luxembourg border, to the city of Lyon. Crossing France from north to south, for cyclists, it is the vital link between Northern Europe and the Mediterranean. Having meandered calmly beside the Moselle River, it then follows the banks of the Canal des Vosges, before joining the Saône up to Lyon, where Saône meets Rhône.
