Moulin de Steenmeulen et Musée Rural Flamand
The steenmeulen, or stone mill in Flemish, is the only Dutch-style brick mill still in operation in the region. It has three pairs of millstones for grain and one for oil. At its foot is a museum that invites you to a walk in the Flemish country between the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th centuries. One can discover many objects, furniture, costumes and tools of the period as well as agricultural machines in perfect working order. A flour mill shows the evolution of flour making techniques as the windmills disappeared. In the nearby house, automatons and a film tell the story of the miller's life.
