80 km along EuroVelo 4 from Paimpol to Lannion
After Paimpol, the Tour de Manche continues along an island-strewn coast and through countryside marked by the steep, attractive Trieux and Jaudy Valleys. Then admire the famed Côte de Granit Rose, with its breathtaking pink-tinged rocks. The meandering Léguer leads you to the pleasant town of Lannion, near the département (county) of Finistère.
The island of Bréhat
It’s hard not to plan a short trip to the island of Bréhat, which lies just off the port of Paimpol. Nicknamed the ‘Island of Flowers’, it has banned cars to allow its heritage to shine through. 86 islets and reefs surround the island, making it a magical place, especially at low tide. Boarding from Paimpol.
The Pink Granite
This geological feature stretches between Perros-Guirec and Trébeurden. The coast is dotted with chaotic clusters of granite. The colour of the stone leans towards pink, giving these places such a distinctive atmosphere, enhanced at sunset.
